The Beautiful Portraits

A Grand Pasadena Wedding Venue

The Pasadena Museum of History is a hidden gem located in the heart of Pasadena. The architecture of the building is similar to the neoclassical style of many of our historical landmarks. With a grand staircase on the back of the building and large pillars on the front, the historic look matched the classic elegant details of our shoot.

The Ombre Blue Wedding Dress

Madeleine Fig designed this dreamy ball gown hand-beaded illusion bodice with plunging neck and backline, full circle silk satin organza skirt with hidden pockets. Delicate tulle delicately paired with handmade silk flowers and Swarovski crystals adorn this ultra-versatile piece from veil to overskirt to a cape. This collection is so versatile!

The Soft Blue Mix-Matched Tablescape

We created two looks for the tablescape. The Sweetheart Table used vintage items to make it stand out, while the guest table uses a simple look using elements that are easy to rent in bulk. We want to be practical and as realistic as possible to a wedding setup.

Sweetheart table was dressed in white linens and a cloud-print crinkled chiffon table runner to give it a pop of color. We used mismatched vintage plates and gold flatware from Via La Roche Vintage Rentals to give the place setting a royal look. The menu card and a puff of soft blue chiffon rosette topped the plates with a white linen napkin draped over the edge of the table. Vintage gold goblets and blue tinted crystal glassware gave the tablescape an old world charm.

The guest table is dressed with cloud-print crinkled chiffon overlay. We use tall and short floral centerpieces to create height and an elegant look. The guest chairs are Louis XVI banquet chairs with gold trimming from MTB Event Rentals. Each place setting has gold beaded glass chargers, and gold rimmed glassware, menu card, and blue chiffon rosette to add a pop of color.

The Watercolor Invitation Suite

Inspired by the soft delicate clouds floating over the clear blue sky, Fiber and Dyethe invitation features an abstract watercolor floral pattern printed on vellum. The translucent paper casts a gentle glow over the otherwise simple suite of organic brush lettering and clean typography. The same pattern is printed on the envelope, with a rich gold wax seal to help tie it all together.

The Signature Cocktails

Cali Craft Cocktail created 4 custom signature drinks and named each appropriately to the theme. Want the recipe? Click on them!

Skyward Bound

Matcha Sour
Starboard Sun

The perfect toasting champagne has to be the Blanc de Bleu, a unique California sparkling wine that delivers pleasant yet elegant flavors with a subtle touch of blueberry. Garnished with a pinch of cotton candy to give it a little extra sweetness.

The Cotton Candy Sky Cake

The 4-tier wedding cake is made of vanilla cake with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream. Inspired by the airy sky and clouds, the top and bottom tiers are decorated in strips of water colored rice paper with the edges trimmed in edible gold. The pastry chef used a semi-naked cake for the middle tier to break up the monotony of the blue. Top of the cake is embellished with fluffy cotton candy to create a 3D effect. The cake is set on a vintage vanity table accented with single bloom floral in milk glass vases.

The Flowers

The florist integrated the soft blue and white color scheme by using ivory and lavender Earl Grey roses, blue delphinium, purple sea holly, and baby blue and silver eucalyptus leaves. The bridal bouquet is wrapped in flowy chiffon ribbon. A mix of tall and short arrangements for guest table centerpieces. Branches of baby’s breath adorn the balloon garlands at the ceremony altar.
