I just added 3 vendors to my recommendation list, here’s a short review for each:
UniqueWedding - My sister (getting married on 10-10-10) wanted to surprise her fiance with the most unique Valentine’s present, so she went online and found UniqueWedding.sg, a company based in Singapore, to custom build the cutest flash animation for her. Victor, the owner and designer, created a 5 min long animation of their courtship and engagement. The illustrated characters looks exactly like the couple. It is amazing!
Commerce Flowers – I highly recommend that you stop by City of Commerce Flowers and visit Eddie Nomura for a consult. His service is above and beyond your expectation. It is also the only flower shop I know willing to show you a sample of your centerpiece before you book them. How awesome is that? Furthermore, Eddie seriously works with your budget and suggests alternatives to keep the design and look cost effective.
Linen Tablecloth – Renting a standard polyester 120″ round table linen could cost $7-$10 each. After the event you have to return those tablecloths. If you’re always hosting parties, I recommend buying your linens from LinenTablecloth.com. They’re a family business in Oregon and have the best price on the internet. Dana, a rep, responds to customer email inquiries fast answering any question you may have before purchasing their linens. If you follow them on Twitter, most likely you’ll get discount codes or free shipping, and if you participate in their question of the day, you’ll have a chance to win gift certificates!

As you know, LA had a week-long rain with lightning and thunder. The weather might have prevented some people from going out, but nOooooo, not me and my circle of event planning professionals. We drove out to Anaheim for the Utterly Engaged Spanking New Year Party at Astor Classics Event Center, hosted by UtterlyEngaged.com.
I met up with my best friends, Kien, from Signature K Events and Floral Design, and Laura, who is getting married in November. We had a good time absorbing all of the creative ideas from other event planners. Laura’s wedding invitation was inspired by one of the tablescape designs. Steven of chiavarichairrentals.com also came out and met with me, he is providing the lighting and chiavari chair rentals for my sister’s wedding in October. There were lots of yummy snacks, I especially loved the Sticky Pig desserts, mini donuts and corndogs from the Fry Girl, and fluffy cotton candy from Tasty Clouds. Just before we left the party, we met Joseph and Jenny Llanes Wedding Photography. Joseph cleverly showed us his photography portfolio on his iPhone. I am definitely looking forward to the next Utterly Engaged event.
