Gorgeous Wedding in Altadena

Jenna & David met in college, it took a long road to get to today, but they made it! We were so honored to be a part of the wedding planning journey. They are the sweetest couple and have the most supportive family and friends. It rained on their wedding day and they had planned to have pre-wedding photos taken at the LA Arboretum, luckily the rain stopped for a bit just in time for their photo session with the awesome Kaysha Weiner. The images were amazing and so romantic.

The wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Altadena Town and Country Club. We had planned for the ceremony to be outdoors on the South Lawn, but due to the rain, we moved the ceremony into the Mendocino Ballroom. We had been watching the weather and formulated a rain plan which was distributed to the vendor team, all we had to do is the day-of decision to execute the plan.

To honor Jenna and David’s heritage of Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, they hired Taiko performers to entertain the guest during cocktail hour. The reception wowed the guests with lion dancers. Subtle references to their culture were incorporated into the wedding decor and candy table. We used shades of purple and lavender as the core wedding colors. The floral centerpieces were a mix of tall and short arrangements, it not only made the ballroom gorgeous, but it also helped to keep the floral cost on budget.

It was a night to remember with catered sushi appetizers, paper crane escort cards, paper crane backdrop, Totoro cake topper, and so many little details. Check out the video highlight and photos below:
