Molly and Bret are my youngest couple this year, but their love for each other surpasses some of the married couples that I know of. =) We had planned for an outdoor wedding at the Altadena Town & Country Club, but unfortunately, it rained all week and was still drizzling on the day of the wedding. We had to move the wedding ceremony indoors. Luckily, the country club’s second ballroom is newly remodeled with huge grand window view. We contacted the florist, Shirvan Designs to change the game plan by adding an arch and flameless candles down the aisle. Molly’s make up was done by Susie Chhuor Hair | Make up Studio. Her wedding dress is a soft romantic designer gown by Lea Ann Belter, the same dress from the movie, Time Traveler’s Wife. The ceremony was supposed be officiated by Reverend Carolyn Alexander, but due to family emergeny, her husband took over the duties. Pastor Norman Alexander was super helpful with wedding etiquette and officiated the wedding without a hitch, see our YouTube video here. Everything turned out beautiful despite the rain!
We started dinner early since it’s a Sunday wedding, Eric of Extreme DJ rocked the house, got everyone up and dancing. The wedding cake was from Pastries by Nancy. Molly had the cutest cake toppers that she bought from RedLightStudios on Etsy. To jazz up the decor, we used chocolate organza overlay to add a little color to the sign-in and guestbook table. Molly found the chalk board from Target and wrote the menu on it. The guest book is a deck of index cards pre-printed with a topic, such as “Love is…”, “where is a great place to have a romantic dinner?”, etc. Guests would fill out the card and drop it in the vintage birdcage. We decorate the cake table using rose heads to surround the base of the cake
