If you’re stressing over who to invite to your wedding, here are some tips and tools to help you manage your guest list.
Decide who’s paying for the wedding.
If you are, you get to call the shots with some consideration for your parents’ guest list. Couples often feel more obligated to invite parents’ friends if Mom and Dad are paying the bills. Traditionally, the couple gets half the guest list and each set of parents get a quarter of the guest list.
Who gets an invitation?
Immediate families and close friends are automatically invited. Extended families and co-workers maybe depending on your relationship. Long lost cousins and high school friends you haven’t talked to in years may not make the cut.
Use a guest list management tool.
