Last year, the kids and I made giant thank you cards to their teachers. Maddie’s teacher got a venus fly trap card. This year, with the coronavirus and homeschooling, we made cards to mail to our teachers.

Laptop Thank You Card

Materials:

  • Construction paper (black for PC laptops or gray for MAC silver laptops)
  • Marker or Crayon (black and white)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Photo of student

Instructions:

Step 1: Fold the construction paper in half to make it look like a laptop.

Step 2: Use the marker and draw a rectangular frame on the top half of the construction paper. Write “Even from a distance, you’re an AMAZING teacher!”

Step 3: Draw keyboard and touch pad on the bottom half of the paper. On the left side of the touch pad, write the teacher’s name. On the right side of the touch pad, write the student’s name.

Step 4: Trim the photo of the student to fit the top half of the paper.

Step 5: Glue the picture on to the construction paper, as if it’s on the “screen”.

Step 6: When the glue is dry, fold the cards. If you’d like you can draw a laptop logo on the front.

Optional: We added a Starbucks Frappucino pop-up sticker and sent our teacher a digital gift card via email.
